The Texas Corvette Association is a lucky bunch. Year after year I go to their annual open car show in Boerne, TX and every year the weather is perfect. The event raises money for St Judes Childrens Hospital and is always successful. Here are some of the photos from the 2007 event.

One whole block is lined on both sides with Corvettes from the earliest models to the newest. |
|
| Not all the Vettes are stock from the factory. Parked among various other muscle cars was a Corvette modified for some serious racing. | |
| Since TCA hosts an open car show, you'll always see a good variety of classic street rods and hot rod trucks in addition to the Corvettes. The park is lined from one end to the other with beautifully restored vehicles. | |
|
Each year Ford owners also come out to support this charity event. They bring plenty of Mustangs and unique cars like the popular T-Bucket. |
|
| The 1948 Plymouth street rod seems to share more in common with the '56 Bel Air than the Corvettes but sometimes a look under the hood will reveal a Corvette engine powering the hot rods from the past. | |
| Nobody expected to see anything like this Chevrolet combo. Some very talented builders have managed to wedge the back half of a Corvette into an early 60's Chevy convertible and make it drivable. Of course you have to open two doors to get in and then you have to drive standing up. | |
| A more conventional approach to the convertible was this 1956 Thunderbird with a continental kit for the spare tire. Notice the dual exhaust exits through the rear bumper. | |
| This 1968 Chevelle Super Sport is a fine example of the muscle cars that I grew up admiring. Powered by a Chevy big block engine, this beauty will really move. | |
| 2007 marked the 75th Anniversary of the classic 1932 Ford with it's flathead V-8 engine. The "Duece" has become one of the most popular cars for restoration and is always a favorite with spectators. | |
| Some people prefer a longer wheelbase for a smoother ride. This 1964 Ford Galaxie certainly provides that. | |
|
Photos from the 2008 Texas Corvette show will focus on the distinguishing features of the front bumpers, grilles and headlights of early Vettes. These subtle changes are the most visible clue to the exact year a particular Corvette was built. The Texas Corvette Association always does a great job of organizing and presenting the show for owners, vendors and spectators. I always enjoy traveling to this annual event.
