There is no shortage of automotive related events these days. My club, Mustang Owners Club of Austin, sponsors an annual car show with Ford powered vehicles to raise money for charity.
|
Automotive Memories also has more photos from the 2007 show and the 2010 show photos are on the way. |
|
The 2007 show page features the engineering creativity of tilting truck beds and tilt forward hoods. |
|
The 2008 STCC Live Oak show was outstanding in the quality of cars. I've tried to capture some of the best of the best to illustrate the beauty of automotive history. Photos of the 2009 and 2010 Live Oak shows are combined on one page. There are some old favorites and some definitely different new entries. |
The
Texas Corvette Association sponsors an annual open car show benefitting
St Judes Childrens Hospital. Each year I try to get photos of a variety
of cars there after setting up my vendor space. Here are the photos from
the 2007 show. |
For
the 2008 Texas Corvette Association show I focused
on some of the distinguishing styling cues of Corvettes through the years
in addition to the other various classics that attended. |
Hot
Rods are for driving! Or racing in this case as the Hill Country Street
Rodders sponsor a Show 'n' Shine with nostalgia drag racing at Little River.
We've got the photos from the 2007 event. |
In October 2007 I went to the Good Guys Lone
Star Nationals at the Texas Motor Speedway. The photos from that trip
show cars from mild to wild. |
Auctions
are a great place to see a wide variety of classic cars. In 2008 we went
to Fredericksburg, Texas for the Kruse
Auction. Here are a few of the cars sold that day. |
Austin
hot rod and classic car owners drove to the local oval track to be part
of the 2008 calendar shoot for the Hot
Rod Honeys, one of the Texas
Rollergirls teams. It made for some interesting photos. |
One
of the more popular classic car shows in Texas is the annual Spring Fling
held in Rosenberg. The park setting is a great place to spend the day checking
out cars from east Texas. We decided to check it out the 2009
car show and collected some photos while visiting with grandchildren. |
Each
year the small town of Bastrop located just east of Austin, TX hosts an
open car show on Veterans Day weekend. The main street is transformed into
a trip down automotive memory lane. The Bastrop
Area Cruisers work with the city to create a day of shopping and classic
cars. Here are just a few of the great rides on display in 2009. |
